See the captivating historical images of Lewis Baltz’s Park City series alongside the work of contemporary artist Rodrigo Valenzuela, who explores issues of labor, alienation and displacement. Throughout the 1970s, Lewis Baltz captured the changing landscape he observed throughout different parts of the American West. Annual celebration of our community’s youngest artists. All kindergarten through 12th grade students in Summit and Wasatch counties are invited to participate, creating work around a common theme. This year’s theme focuses on “change,” and students were invited to think about change in our communities, reflecting on the Wasatch Back past, present and future. The unfettered imagination of these highly skilled and creative students produces artworks that are both revealing and thought-provoking.

On May 7, 1915 the famed luxury liner Lusitania was sunk by the German submarine U-20. Of the 2000 passengers and crew, 1193 souls perished. The bodies of 600 people were never recovered. One of Park City’s own, John Edward “Jack” Inman, was on board traveling to visit his parents in the United Kingdom. Join to learn his fate and the overall significance of Lusitania’s sinking.
