On May 7, 1915 the famed luxury liner Lusitania was sunk by the German submarine U-20. Of the 2000 passengers and crew, 1193 souls perished. The bodies of 600 people were never recovered. One of Park City’s own, John Edward “Jack” Inman, was on board traveling to visit his parents in the United Kingdom. Join to learn his fate and the overall significance of Lusitania’s sinking. Find out more »Edward P. Ferry was among the earliest arrivals to Park City in 1873. Unlike many of the city’s heroes, he arrived with substantial family wealth which he expertly parlayed into an even larger fortune. Ferry and his partners obtained the title to the city’s townsite and attempted to sell lots to the miners and merchants who already occupied the land.
